I am a speech scientist and researcher working at the intersection of phonetics, speech technology, and creative inquiry. Since July 2026, I have been a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellow at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, leading the project TEMPOS.
I study how speech works – physically, cognitively, and socially – and how this knowledge can inspire better models and applications in technology, health, and communication.
I am fascinated by sound, rhythm, and variation – how articulation, emotion, and individuality shape the way we speak and listen. As an artist, I explore communication through the interplay of form and meaning across media.
Current project: TEMPOS – MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship
My background is in speech production, focusing on articulatory data and the neurocognitive and physiological foundations of language. With a PhD in phonetics, I work across speech science and data analysis, developing methods to understand how speech is shaped in the body and represented in models.
I am particularly interested in how subtle changes in articulation, timing, breathing, posture, and rhythm shape the speech patterns that listeners perceive. Understanding these dynamics helps bridge human perception and machine processing, informing both linguistic theory and applied speech technology.
Insights from this research have potential applications in automatic speech recognition (ASR), text-to-speech (TTS), human–computer interaction, health, and language learning.
I’m open to collaborations and applied research projects where speech science meets innovation – from ASR/TTS development to health-related applications.
My artistic work explores color, form, sound, and patterns through drawings, painting, textiles, writing and mixed media.
